Dr. Freedom is a 1982 graduate of Chiropractic Medicine from Western States Chiropractic College, Portland, Oregon, U.S.A.  Dr. Freedom specialized in sports injuries and personal injuries resulting from motor vehicle accidents in Canada for over a decade.  For the past 10 years he has integrated his knowledge of modern medicine with Eastern philosophies.  His ancestral heritage from India, going back over 300 years, has passed along the traditions of extensive practices in yoga, meditation, and chanting.  Dr. Freedom is a Maestro of  yoga and meditation.  He has led thousands of Thought~Breath~Posture Balance Seminars, Stress Management Retreats, yoga workshops and music concerts throughout the world merging Eastern and Western scientific techniques and health practices.  Dr. Freedom is presently rendering Chiropractic care and is Chief Yoga Instructor with Grupo MultiSpa in San Jose, Costa Rica. 

 

Since 1995, his partner Leela has mastered the arts of yoga and meditation, practicing extensively with Dr. Freedom and other maestros in India and Thailand.  Leela, holding a Masters degree in Western Vocal Performance and Vocal Therapy, has made several recordings merging her expertise in Eastern chants with Western sensitivities. Leela has a passion to assist you in coordinating your breath, posture and sound.  Leela is presently working with Dr. Freedom in Costa Rica as a yoga instructor and as a music therapist.

Sound Body Yoga is  a state of the art  yoga practice. that works on the premise that a ´sound´ body is a catalyst to a healthy mind and spirit. Dr. Freedom and Leela have founded this unique yoga practice which uses breath  and sound as the energy source to strengthen, stretch, and balance the body. Using the ancient wisdom of his ancestors from India coupled with his western scientific training in Chiropractic, Dr Freedom has  developed a safe and powerful yoga practice  that naturally aligns the body,  relaxes the mind,  and rekindles the spirit.
